I recently started prescription retinoids and this is how I do it too…my skin looks better and drinks in the moisture because with just retinoids my skin gets irritated and dry. Not applying all these hydrating layers is how skincare is advised in the west and has done nothing but compromise my skin barrier but as soon as I went with a hydrating approach my skin is healing faster with everything coming up from the retinoids. Every other time I’ve been put on prescription retinoids I was advised to keep it simple (it didn’t work out) but this method is IT. 💕
