My favorite anime of all time. Ever since I finished it for the first time I've been thinking of a season 2. My idea of a season 2 for Darling in the FRANXX is this: (I might even try to get into an animation studio or try to make it myself, though I'm only 16) It has been confirmed that the two kids under the tree at the end of the series are indeed a reincarnated Hiro and Zero-Two. What to do with this can vary, since they are young, they can meet and have your average childhood friend rom-com for a season 2; after one episode of them as kids it will skip to them being teenagers for the other 11 episodes. A different route would be to have them hold on to memories of their past life and they gradually gain more memories. The main parts that would contribute to this would be familiars from their previous life, such as the picture book or the FRANXX's. It would be the same as idea 1, with them being kids for an episode before jumping to being teenagers and continuing their journey. This would still be a season 2 and keep the title, "Darling in the FRANXX" because in the episodes they would explore parts of the past, and in the final episode they would venture into one of the old FRANXX's. This final episode would be called "DARLING in the FRANXX", same as two episodes in season 1 are titled. The series would include many references to season 1, and the main one would be in the final episode when the reincarnated Zero-Two pulls the reincarnated Hiro into the FRANXX, declaring the famous "You are now my Darling!" line following a confession of love or a remembrance that they promised to be together in their past life in one of the earlier episodes or earlier in that episode. I am still thinking about ways to improve this, so any feedback and ideas would be helpful. If you or anyone you know is good at anime or manga drawing, please let me know if you/they would be interested in getting a rough draft started to start up the project.
