If you did not know half the stuff they taught you in school, you would become an easy target to manipulate and misinform. God dammit

School is meant to make us knowledgeable about the world and inspire innovation, but unfortunately we live in a system that values us more as workers than as people, so things related to money end up way more important than being educated :( The solution isn't as much as changing what schools teach (tho sometimes it is) as much as making our societies more human friendly. Taxes are a great example in the US. There are many countries that just send you a bill. Companies like TurboTax keep lobbying against us getting something like that because they make money off it being hard. Health insurance shouldn't even be a thing in a country rich enough to support everyone. Hopefully the things we learn about in school will become important again
