@samrinophotography: This was one of my favorite osprey catches that I filmed. Rain was pouring down I got completely soaked that day , even my lens hood filled up with rain water but it was all worth it to me !! Something unique I feel that I have only seen ospreys do is what is often referred to as “the Osprey victory lap” where they will circle several times over the area they caught the fish in before leaving with the fish 🐟!! It makes for great photography opportunity as it keeps circling! There are several theories why they do it …some say it’s a form of courtship to show they can provide. I feel it’s to get complete control over the fish, position the fish the right direction for less drag and make sure the fish is not fighting as much for the journey back to the nesting area! Whatever the reasons are it’s beautiful 😁This one chose to land on the grassy area close by . I watched him in the distance nibble on the fish for a bit before taking off again to his destination!! God I love ospreys !! ❤️❤️❤️ NO AI ever used in any of my videos!! Just a man with a camera and lens doing what he loves….filming beautiful wildlife!
