This is an interesting take and feels very valid, but it does feel like it lacks consideration for how much influence western (colonial) ideas have had on Asian beauty standards. They could’ve used a plethora of visual codes to signify “the outlier”, but it just so happens that the protagonist is perpetually depicted as a ‘white’ appearing figure. Again, I genuinely think that your take is quite interesting and enlightening, but it does negate how pervasive and unfortunately successful western beauty propaganda has been.

this can go so much with clothes too! if you look at All Might he's actually dressed like a delinquent (slicked back blonde hair, leather jacket, cargos) despite that it could go against him when people of that world get stereotyped very easily based on appearance/quirk

ye this makes sense but the truth is far more dark, for indoctrination shapes the ideological view of the world puppeteering every expression or creation one could make, i never liked the yellow hair i liked the thought that we could illuminate or hair like bioluminescence, a sovereign ability.
