@palesaentlechubisi: Yesterday was a day filled with mixed emotions as we laid my former radio co-host, Baas K, to rest. It was a heart-wrenching farewell, yet it was also a beautiful opportunity to celebrate a life that touched and inspired so many people. I had so much that I wanted to say about Baas K, but due to time constraints, we, as speakers, had to keep our tributes brief. Sekele moholo, I did not cry while delivering my tribute… ke leboha Modimo for granting me the strength to stand before everyone and honour a man who meant so much to my radio journey. Re mo feleheditse ka hlompho e kgolo e mo lokelang. When I spoke to him during his time in hospital, he repeatedly expressed how proud he was of me and of everything I am doing with my life. As I shared at the funeral, the promise I make to him is that I will continue carrying the baton and strive to make him even prouder. Thank you to everyone for your comforting messages, phone calls and prayers since the passing of Baas K. Your love and support have carried me through one of the most difficult moments, and may the good Lord bless each and every one of you. There will NEVER be another radio partnership like the one Baas K and I shared, but the history we created together will never be forgotten. Rest well Baas K 🕊️ .
