Assuming i get married to someone i actually care about, I would want to adopt like 10 times out of 10 because not only does it help a kid that already exists, but also I wouldn't have to worry my wife dying during childbirth (plus its painless)

The hypocrisy in saying: “I wouldn’t want a child born into a world like this!” Type of argument is generally hypocritical to state. I can assure you, there was even more horrible times were the concept of children was constantly hard to have. The fear comes from not knowing what to do or just saying you aren’t ready. In today’s world, practically saying you don’t want children is sort of a liberty, either way, if you don’t want children don’t have them, if you do—have children it’s as simple as that, is it not?😗

Hot take: the one child policy was short sighted, but made a lot of sense. So basically in China during the mass industrialization period, they made the one child policy because certain cultures had many kids like 10-12, basically the party saw that if they continued to have this many babies, people are just going to start starving so despite it being dumb it made sense for the time (kinda)
