dance moms! they dont invite me to anything and its been 3 years! often talk down to me, drill me with questions to see if i fit their aesthetic.. what does your husband do for work. are you married. are they the father of your child etc because i am a few years younger. I started my own group!!! mainly look for girls that talk to you in a performative way and need to know everything.

I’m an adult now and I still have wounds from being bullied and excluded. Sadly it’s been this way for me everywhere, I wonder if I’m just on the spectrum or something. I’ve resorted just to being a recluse since I’ve concluded no one wants me around.

Ha hs yes - this is exactly the situation with our school PTA which never runs properlu due to this. Ridiculously toxic and silly. Nothing direct always passive. I just left lsst week and the relief was ridiculous. agree re working around it - - I now still run the school leho and craft clubs I set up but as im no longer s formal member I avoid all the meetings. The behaviours were so odd thst it took me 3 years tp fully rrcognise it for what it was - bizarre 🥰

American friendships are mostly performative. You have to be ‘nice’ to people. Most Americans don’t have friends. Just acquaintances. Friendliness should not be mistaken for friendship. Friendships take years to develop. Hosting parties and being a well put up mom is just adding to the brutal culture of fakeness when the reality is very often huge houses and therapy sessions (for parents and kids).
