My whole life, I've been in healthcare. I've successfully performed CPR 4 times, I've sat by people taking their last breaths with tears just so they wouldn't be alone... 3 years ago I suffered nerve damage in my spine & now rely on a wheelchair. I lost everything. And for 3 yrs I keep getting told that I'm not worth helping bc I'm not rich or able to work FT. Ok, not in those exact words but that's how I hear it. How is that fair? The systems are broken & people judging me for my abilities today is part of the reason why.

Add in the moral judgments that are leveled against the poor, you get to where we are today in the US. Not only is one “worth less” based on one’s “productivity”, one is also a “bad person” for not meeting that capitalist ideal.

As a mother of an adult disabled child I know what a lot of people think about her receiving help. I am so sick of battling insurance companies for medical necessities for her. It's so exhausting. 😩

Sometimes the worst part about becoming disabled wasn't loosing my mobility or the constant pain, it was realizing that a whole new group of people literally wished my death just because I couldn't earn a paycheck any more. Like I was literally growing a business before this. But God forbid I can't play the capitalist game anymore and have my taxes be taken to blow up kids. 😐

Some people are just too far gone. I have been told to my face that I was better off dead when my family was homeless+living in a motel because I was 8 and couldn’t legally work. That was about ten years ago

Capitalism produces charity. Those in need are taken care of by charities. However, in our overtaxed society. People can’t give to charity like we used to. Our charity is now “ forced”. IE taxes. Not my fault the government wastes taxpayer money
