I've rented a few homes in my time. (due to short leases) and I could never in my life damage something that wasn't mine. I am very home proud. Even when borrowed. I've had landlords message me to say how spotless I've left it. I will never understand tenants doing this. And honestly I understand landlords at this rate.

They should have taken care of the property but you should also consider high durability materials when you’re renting out your property. Unfortunately people don’t take care of your home as they do their own.

As someone who lived in a rented house for most of my life we left that house looking perfect these tenants clearly never cared very much about the house.

I just got my property back from a tenant, she did $20 000.00 in damage. She managed to RIP the stairs from the wall!!!!!!! HOW??????? Tenants don't care bc it's not theirs. ITS SHAMEFUL.

scratches on a floor happens especially on hardwood floors. Tenants could have easily had a child that did this. Yes they should have said something but scratches happen how were they supposed to fix that?

I completely understand the stress and frustration. Bought a duplex for me & my son, we live on one side and rent out the other. Some tenants just don't care about other people's stuff. SMH And we're right next door.
