YEP. Loans now a days are predatory and with the current rate of 8-9% it’s disgusting. I thought A&M at 250k was a lot until I met tufts / nyu people. Actually absurd

I wish I had heard this four years ago! I turned down my state school and currently D4 at a private university. I’m in more debt, further from family, and receiving the same degree at the end of the day.

I got into my state school and turned down an ivy league acceptance. I wouldn't go above $400k debt for this job. I remember paying my loans back right out of school and I felt trapped by the career and I was only $138k in debt. I see job offers with daily rates hardly higher than I was doing 17 years ago when I got out.
