I once watched a YouTube essay about plastic surgery and "ai faces" and even tho there are yet no scientific studies on exactly this, there are studies about animal with a similar thing tho. I can't recite the whole thing but basically they researched what bugs typically look for in a mate an then replaced these potential mates with plastic objects to see their reaction. For example a bug that shines green and looks for mates who also shine really bright green in the sun was replaced with a piece of a beer bottle in the same shade of green. The end result of the study was that these bugs became so used to the over the top "fake shine" of glass and plastic that they no longer felt attracted to their actual living bug mates...
