I know this might seem like a strange post coming from someone planning to add hair toppers to their collection… but toppers don’t work for everyone, and they definitely don’t work for me. I don’t have enough hair at the front to achieve the blend that toppers rely on to disguise the transition in a way that feels natural and comfortable for me. Perhaps a fringe would help, but I don’t want to wear a fringe all the time. With wigs, I can pick and choose. However, I completely understand why so many women choose them. They can be an incredible option if they’re the right fit for your stage of hair loss, lifestyle and preferences. If you colour match well and perfect the blend, nobody would ever know. But for my own hair loss journey, they never quite worked, which is why I chose wigs instead. The truth is, there isn’t one “best” solution. There are only solutions that are best for you. One of the things I care most about at Loss 2 Lace is being able to support people with honesty, confidence and as many options as possible. I don’t want to sell something simply because it’s popular or because I could. I want to genuinely understand it and offer the right support. So whilst I’ve lived with thinning hair for many years and care deeply about helping women navigate hair loss, I’m currently building my knowledge and experience with toppers before adding them to my collection. I want to be able to support topper wearers with the same confidence and education that I do wig wearers. If you’re a topper wearer, I’d genuinely love to hear from you. What do you love about them? What challenges have you faced? What tips or advice would you give someone considering one for the first time? And what makes a topper the one you reach for day after day over another? Because the more we share our experiences, the better we can support one another. I don’t think it makes me less qualified to talk about toppers. If anything, I think it makes me even more committed to getting it right. 🫶🏻 #hairtoppers #hairtoppersuk #thinninghairsolution #femalehairloss #silktopper
