@itssssarxn: A Microwave, Five Men and a Nappy is one of my favourite episodes of Desmond’s and, for me, one of the very best the series ever produced. Most people remember the hilarious scenes of Desmond, Porkpie, Matthew, Michael and Tony trying to look after a baby. But what has always stood out to me is the powerful scene where the men come across Helen and baby Jimmy alone at the side of the road after she’d been thrown out by her landlord. It’s a reminder that, while Desmond’s was a brilliant sitcom, it was never afraid to tackle real-life issues that could happen to anyone.
