Especially since the cops just end up making it violent by the end and the protesters get beat up, tear gassed and arrested and the same thing happens over and over and not much gets done, sadly it seems that peaceful protesting just doesn't work anymore

peaceful protests help garner sympathy and safe spaces while little is being done. violent protests cause outrage and anger but things get done faster. we need both at the end of the day. yin and yang
