The baby is still inheriting a punishment for actions that they were not even alive to be personally guilty for. Because our incredibly distant ancestor from millennia ago ate an apple, God now enforces a separation from us for our entire lifetimes, and we can only meet him in the afterlife if we spend our entire lives proving that we’re worthy of so much as entering the same realm as him. We have to spend our whole lives proving that we’re individually worthy of the ancestral punishment being lifted for our own specific case. Nobody is arguing that every baby since Eden personally committed sin, we’re arguing that Original Sin being passed down through the generations indefinitely means that every baby is being punished by God for actions they weren’t even alive to be involved in

Seeing the many "interpretation" of the bible always reminds me of Stephen King interview. The interviewer was praising one of his books for it's depth and eluded metaphors and his response was that wasn't his intention because he was basically tripping balls when he wrote it. 😂

im late, but on one video you made of a teacher pushing christian ideology on her students, i have had the same experience for my middle school time at a catholic school where i excepted my atheism. my teacher used to force me to say “ if science contradicts the bible, theres smt wrong with the science” she made me repeat this in front of the class several times and if i didn’t, i would get in trouble with admin.
