I still don’t allow my 11 year old to a men’s restroom alone. I will never forget the story of Matthew Cecchi. If my husband or my 16 year old isn’t available to take him, he comes with mama. He’s my middle child and he’s too trusting of people, and just doesn’t understand the world yet. I don’t have the heart to tell him why, luckily he just thinks it’s normal and doesn’t think twice about it.

As a former dispatcher I would recommend getting in touch with the restaurant about this and filing a suspicious activity report. Just so that police are aware that there are people actively trying to do this.

I make my male students go to the women’s restroom when we go on field trips if there aren’t any men chaperones with us. I refuse to send 8-9 year olds in men restrooms.

the locks being janky was done at some point earlier...on purpose... some one took a tiny screwdriver into that bathroom & loosened all the locks to make it easier to yank the doors open with one good tug. You might wanna call the restaurant & inform them about it.

I have worked in restaurants where the bathrooms are adjacent to the emergency exit and I’ll tell you what when I see any little ones go to the restroom area, I would keep a special eye because you never know who’s gonna be looking for the kids and a quick exit.

Oh my god, they were targeting the boy. They thought he was alone and they thought it was a girl because he was in the girl’s bathroom, the man was going to get the child because he thought the kid didn’t lock the door

Listen my little brother is 14 and if we go out in public, I’m definitely bringing him in the women’s stall if it’s just me and him like if it’s just me my mom my sister is in my 14-year-old brother My Brother is going in the women’s restroom, my little brother is not a perv. He’s gonna walk in. Use the bathroom in the closed stall wash his hands and walk out I’d much rather My Brother be safe in the women’s restroom, than raped in the men’s.
