when I worked at Jimmy John's there was a guy who came in who would only let me make his sandwich because I was the only one who "did it right". his only modification was "a lot of extra mayo". what everyone else failed to understand was that you had to put an amount of mayo on this sandwich to the point you feel morally bad for what you were doing to him. the extra mayo was not a gift, it was a sentencing, a punishment, and he loved it.
