There are issues of trust here. For me I didn't really care what happened but you see the stunt it started showing compromise. The man said they were released by the bandits while the military said they did some tactical operation. What was the exchange? The bandit wouldn't have released them just like that even knowing that their families have been arrested as claimed. We know the Military they will show proof of arrest and people paraded but there was nothing, no bodies, no faces. What we don't know, we don't know we can only speculate, the more the FG do stunts the more the truth will naturally come out.
