meanwhile, the republicans cut funding to the (already extremely underfunded) Indian Health Services (health care for native Americans) bc there apparently wasn’t enough money for them to fulfill their treaty obligations to us with the bare minimum of healthcare 🙃 for reference, before it was cut more by the GOP, spending per capita by IHS was less than half of that for healthcare for those in federal prisons. But we don’t have money, apparently 🫠
