Dongba paper is an ancient handmade paper craft exclusive to the Naxi ethnic group and precious intangible cultural heritage of China. Made from wild genkwa bark following primitive papermaking techniques, it boasts outstanding durability and natural anti-insect property. The whole production relies purely on manual work and natural materials. Repeated soaking, boiling, pounding and moulding endow the paper with fine texture and strong flexibility.
