Don't say anything, don't answer any questions and don't write any statements, that's an admission of guilt. The problem is they'll lock you up and take you to county, and you'll talk to the judge after the weekend anyway. At least if you do admit it, they will send you home, with paperwork to appear in court and still go to court, but you might be able to go home that night.

When I worked at Osco Drug Store, my manager didn’t like me but I was a good employee. I came early, stayed late and volunteered for extra work. I learned how to work in several different departments but he still didn’t like me. One night, he went off on me and said I don’t know why you try so hard. Nobody likes you and nobody wants to work with you. I cried bc I thought they were my friends! So, I quit. I apologized for not giving 2weeks notice and said but given what he said I thought it was best for the store that I leave immediately. Six days later, the assistant manager who actually interviewed and hired me called me on the phone and said you will never guess what is happening! I asked what and he said corporate security was there and they showed him a picture of me and asked who is this girl and my manager said oh she doesn’t work here anymore. Corporate security said well you better call her back because she’s the only service desk worker who isn’t stealing from the store. The woman he wanted in my place was caught with over $1500 in inventory in her car while they were there and the other people were all on video stealing money and merchandise from the store! He called the next day and asked me if I would come back. I declined his offer. That’s what you get, Carmen! Yep! Still remember his name. I remember the assistant manager too! He was always one of my favorite people. 🙏❤️
