@hormonedoc4u: Trans voice training is a motor skill, not a quick fix. Here’s why estrogen cannot reverse a testosterone shaped voice, how safe practice creates lasting change, and which warning signs mean it’s time to stop pushing. #TransVoiceTraining

I also like to add on this topic that we don't owe anybody a feminized voice to validate our identities. Training our voices should pursue a personal comfort, not anybody else's.

I've been using this voice that people say is passing now 4 months, and I can do it without even thinking about it, and it's became more natural than my old voice. And I do not feel any strain at all on my voice at all.

The voice is definitely hard. Thank you for the educational discussion. I once had a decent voice and I stopped working it. It faded and now I’m back to focusing on it in order to be consistent, but when I stop focusing it drops, so take this advice to heart.

I hate my voice 😭 I don’t get misgendered so I stopped worrying about it, but this made me consider trying lessons again.

Spent easily 1k on training…Absolutely a waste of my money. I’ve gotten nowhere unfortunately. I’m afraid my only option is a procedure

I was lucky that early transition, I was working a job that gave me a LOT of time alone. This gave me the time and freedom from listening ears that I needed to do voice training. For a long time it felt unsure, sounded unnatural, and was inconsistent. After putting in the hours, maybe hundreds of hours, my voice now feels natural, sounds good, and passes effortlessly. It takes time, it feels impossible at times, and it can be frustrating when it feels so close but just isn't clicking, but girlie's, I promise you that with time, you WILL get there in the end 💜

My voice is deeper than pre-T, but I can't maintain the depth while also having projection/volume. Usually when I try to stay in the deeper range I am asked to repeat myself. I am autistic and the customer service voice mask is highly engrained, so I feel like I'm constantly octave jumping at work. I was conditioned to respond and be perceived as female for 30 years - unlearning is hard. Do you have any recommendations for working on resonance/consistency if I don't currently have access to formal voice therapy?

I want to voice train but my brain for whatever reason decided I want to be perfect with it first try and so I dont because if I dont sound good first try I'll become disappointed and not want to do it again, im trying to get over the need to be perfect first try, but its taking some time to do so

It took me over a year of practicing often to sound how I wanted. No guides helped me figure it out, so I kinda messed around blindly until I figured out something that worked for me

I have been training on my own for 4 years now. I can't tell what's missing with it but given I am from a rather stuck in the past country I kinda need to train in private. does anyone know any good sources? (I read and went through plenty materials but I am here in case I missed something thanks <3 )

both of the big colleges in my city offered a voice training program that gave their grad students clinicals and was nearly free to work with them. between one of the colleges and YouTube it took me 8 months. I've stopped being able to do "male voice" about a year after.
