@kelseyalfred: ๐Ÿฉถโœจ hip replacement recovery: days 5 & 6 ๐Ÿ’™ Iโ€™m sharing some of the things that have really helped me during recovery so far, a scary episode of intense back pain that caught me off guard, and a more emotional side of recovery that I wasnโ€™t expecting. The combination of the extreme pain in those first few days, the stress of navigating recovery, and an emotional struggle between my mom and I definitely made me feel like I had a bit of a setback. Recovery isnโ€™t just physical, the mental and emotional side can be just as challenging. That being said, I am doing a lot better than I was, and Iโ€™m continuing to take things one day at a time. Sharing the good, the hard, and everything in between because recovery isnโ€™t always a straight line. ๐Ÿค #HipReplacementRecovery #HipReplacement #AnteriorHipReplacement #RecoveryVlog #SticklerSyndrome

My hip replacement was June 9th. I think I got through it as well as I did because it was the total opposite of what I went through with my knee replacement. THAT was sheer hell. I hope things settle down for you!

Glad youโ€™re feeling better. I had that neck pain as well. Itโ€™s shooting pain. My friend told me to use my travel neck pillow and it helped tremendously.

Thank you. You are the best. I share your sentiments wholeheartedly. I am two days ahead of you, and I am still in excruciating pain. I will admit that with limited exercises, I get better. The athlete mindset influenced me to push it, but as you know, this level of pain undefeatable. Keep the updates coming. You are appreciated. I wish you well. You need to make your experience to do comedy stand-up. I don't mean to make light of your trauma, but your narrative is hilarious. Again, thank you. I feel you. We are rollin' shotgun. This is my 17th surgery and by far, it's been the most challenging. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ

Mine was Wednesday- my surgery was an anterior incision- i feel so much pain in my thigh- I walk with the walker, I use the cane to lift my leg. Iโ€™ve been icing a lot as well- how much are you walking? I do get up and walk around the house and to go to the bathroom. I need a lifted seat bc my toilet is way too low. Hope youโ€™re okay!!! I feel ya sis!!! ๐Ÿ’™

Iโ€™m a month post op and I still have pain. And now I have pain referring to my back shoulders knees. I get tired randomly. My energy level is still very low. Iโ€™m moving around more and improving on my exercises but honestly I didnโ€™t expect this a month out. I thought it was going to be better. Iโ€™m just trying my best everyday. Hang in there we will get there โค๏ธ

I'll be scheduling soon for left THR surgery. Your information is very helpful in preparing and getting ready for what to expect. What anesthesia was given? I think that terrifies me the most ๐Ÿ˜Š
