dizzified :
Fandango users gave it a 3.5. Which is a “decent” score in my view, but not “great.” A 3 would have been a “meh.” And it’s important to point out that gross sales mean absolutely jack 💩 because movie tickets are more expensive than they have ever been due to inflation. It’s the TICKETS that count. Not the cash. The top 10 all time movies does not include ANY movies made in this CENTURY babe, and the top 10 hasn’t changed since Titanic made that list back in 1997. In fact, the only movie in the top FOURTEEN that was made in this century is Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now THAT sold some tickets! But movies are terrible now. Art is dead. Entertainment is dead. I’m a movie fanatic, I have every movie ticket I’ve ever received since birth, starting with Little Mermaid, and I can honestly say there have been very few good movies to grace the silver screen in the past decade. The Dune trilogy will obliterate the Odyssey. I just looked at the user reviews on Fandango for Disclosure Day, Scary Movie, Odyssey, Obsession, and the new Evil Dead and Evil Dead has a higher rating than any of the rest, then Obsession, THEN all the aforementioned summer blockbusters. I don’t listen to rotten tomatoes propaganda bc if you look you can find a million examples where the critics gave it a 99% and users gave it a 2. Stop listening to marketing tools and research the REAL gig, how many TICKETS has it sold? That’s all that matters.
