Omg I definitely think this. He watched it in his home theatre if you read the biography by Randy And then he started working on BAD, which is my favorite album but the original cover was Michael wearing lace over his eyes, very similar to how Prince was in purple rain. Also Michael rides a motorcycle in speed demon like Prince in purple rain. Also, he wanted PRINCE in the BAD music as the bad guy. I love MJ but Prince was definitely living rent free in his mind during the creation of BAD for sure.
