I know I’m just a stranger, but I don’t think you should have to apologize to anyone, family or strangers. Your husband was dishonest and wronged you even when you were with him in the hospital. And bc he’s passed on you’ll never be able to confront him on these things. People are shaming you, but a place like this is probably the closest you’ll get to others who have experienced this and can offer any comfort. Plus how you cope in the situation is up to you, ur the victim here.

I absolutely understand what you are talking about. My marriage was this close and we were that connected. Our marriage fell apart in a similar fashion however he is still alive and refusing to divorce me. But I left him when I just knew he was going to kill me.
