We have our meet the teacher event on the 3rd so our kids start on the 5th. I’m telling my daughter’s Pre-K teacher that she can just shoot me a text if she ever needs anything from extra supplies to coffee to pizza if she is craving it. She’s gonna be taking care of and teaching the most precious, most important person in my life, the least I can do is be there for the village that is there for us.

I just bought 30 boxes of crayons, 3 packs of the 24 glue sticks, i cant even remember how many boxes of pencils for my daughters kindergarten class. So it wouldnt come out of her pocket.. Supplies DONT last all year!!! Teachers not only buy their own supplies but also put up with kids ALL DAY, and some of them kids are terrible..

genuine question. my mom was a kindergarten teacher and always provided everything for her kids and would go above and beyond. and when I was in school we got a list of items we needed for ourselves and a list of items the teacher needed. ie. tissue boxes, post it notes, dry erase markers, etc. is this how they still do it or has it changed? my son is almost and I have another one on the way so I know i have a few years, im just curious.

It’s sad how this generation is thinking we shouldn’t contribute to our kids schools my daughter didn’t get supplies list for pre-k but I made sure I still send tissue boxes , Clorox wipes , hand sanitizers and school supplies for the teachers like copy paper , dry erase markers , sharpies and etc a little kindness goes a long way especially for teachers who spend their time to teach our babies

2nd only to Christmas and Halloween, Back to School season is the BEST time of the year. School supply shopping with your family, teacher getting classrooms ready, meeting the new teachers. I love it!

Everyone wants the schools to pay for it but then don’t want to pay the extra taxes or even bother funding the school 🙄. There are people out there who could fund the whole school for free lunches and they choose not to. Aye least where I live

My GD school doesn’t give a list. You pay $35 for the year and they bulk purchase all the supplies.

Every school district should provide basic supplies it’s public school and parents pay so much in school taxes. I realize only in America schools ask for supplies , when the rest of the world , schools provide all this.
