Respectfully, yes the chest clip needs to be pulled up and the straps need to be more snug. But I also do not agree with everyone being so rude about it. We can inform each other without insulting each other guys.

So the thing is.. your belly is soft. If the clip is there and baby takes the impact on that part of the body, they will most definitely have internal bleeding. Safest spot is on the upper chest where there is a rib cage protecting the organs, and can take most of the impact. That’s their best chance of survival. Anything can happen at any moment. I had an older gentleman run a stop sign and hit me. I have also been in another accident with seatbelt injuries. Your seatbelts and car seat straps can and will hurt you in an accident, but you don’t want them to kill you by not using properly!!

So the CHEST clip actually says “place at armpit level” lol - mom of 5 and even my first in 2010 was in his seat correctly.
