don't colorpick! I started doing digital art without knowing what colorpicking is and in those 1-2(?) years I've been drawing stuff from references by just picking it out from the color wheel. Now, I'd say that color theory just comes naturally to me IMCRRJNGG

Yes yes, my biggest tip for practicing rendering is always to use a big fat brush, forces you to focus on overall shape and form rather than detail
