If you don’t care about high performance. And want something that will last you forever never break down with a low cost of ownership go with Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru (post 2017). Stay away from American and European cars. I would stay far away from jeeps they are super fun cars but consistently rank amongst the least reliable cars year after year

i got a used 2021 hyundai santa fe when i tell you it has been the best car no issues, def buy used for sure it had less than 30,000 miles on it!

when buying a used car, make sure you look at the carfax (vehicle history)! look for evidence that the previous owners actually gave a shit. make sure you see routine maintenance (at minimum... oil changes every 7k miles or so). check to see in transmission flush was done. look at the tires. if they are some shit brand, WALK AWAY

do NOT buy a ford, kia, jeep, Hyundai or anything from Britain. if you are doing miles, the OBVIOUS choice is a camry hybrid, civic hybrid, or accord hybrid. you will get great mileage. you will have a quiet comfortable ride. you will get all the safety and convenience tech. and most importantly... it wont leave you on the side of the road. if you take one thing away from this... dont buy an American car with a CVT transmission
