I don’t think she meant to embarrass you. More than likely there was someone in line that may have made a snarky comment, that’s why she asked it loud and proud, already knowing your answer. Hence, why she said theirs stupid white and black people. Id see if you couldn’t find her again and just make sure she was comfortable too. Theirs still racism in the world and it’s ugly, but I don’t think she meant to embarrass you or make you uncomfortable. ❤️

there's a lot of people that are still racist I've worked with black women that thinks that blacks and whites shouldn't mix and white people that also thinks that whites and blacks shouldn't mix, but it's ok to be friends they was one older black woman that believed in that but it was ok for me to call her mama she told me I was the 3rd white daughter she had to call her mama, I loved her so much and miss her so much so she didn't mean anything by it
