Wow! Thank you for this. I was SA’d from the age of 6-10 years old. I thought something was wrong with my brain for not unlocking the memories for a while. I’ve had some counseling but didn’t feel like it did anything for me. I’ve forgiven the person. I can compartmentalize the memories. Only certain scents will take me back in time but I can shut those memories off like steel walls shutting of the memories. The brain is a powerful organ.

Hard to believe if you hear to all the trauma you've been through and still say "God is in your story" because why didn't He prevented these things to happen in the first time. He equipped you with all the mechanisms to survive so that we can learn about it and be encouraged that all the pain, heartache, disappointments will come eventually to an end.
