those boom cranes have load charts. the operator need to lose his license for lifting to much weight. the riggers should have known the weight as well. EVERY job i did as a rigger, we talked with the operator to discuss weights, angles, and pick points.

I’m a short order cook and I say the rigging failed. Always inspect your rigging before each lift. And a critical lift should always be an engineered lift.
