It’s amazing how Pope John Paul ll was so close and respected Ratzinger that he probably recommended him for Papacy one day, Obama comes in, and immediately does everything to get him to “retire” like he was not good enough. Personally, I liked Ratzinger and knowing now that they were very close and that Pope John Paul ll would not let him retire says a lot about Ratzinger’s character.
