The role of telemachus was simply very restrictive. No one could have played the role better because that's all the role had to offer. HOWEVER, you can see the stuff he learned from the production of the Odyssey and how he applied it to Spider-Man BND. And There, he killed it.

it's funny how perception spreads, because none of those hate tweets were even that big, and Tom always has ppl desperate to hate him on twitter. I've actually seen way more big tweets praising him, and across other apps, it's pretty much unanimous praise. I thought he was excellent, myself.

I genuinely don't understand the criticism. In Homer's Odyssey, Telemachus isn't written as the loudest or most heroic character. His story is about growing up, finding confidence, and stepping out of his father's shadow. It's a quiet, emotional journey rather than one driven by grand speeches or constant action. That's exactly why I think Tom Holland was perfectly cast. He portrayed Telemachus' inner growth with subtlety and authenticity, and for me, he captured the character brilliantly.
