Cristina may be the cold, "idc" about anything else intern, but Mer grew up with trauma. up until adulthood trauma lingers around her and i think thats why they thought "she was just fine"

nah meredith had so much trauma through her life, she'd built walls to keep them out. she wasnt fine - she just hadn't allowed the trauma to touch her emotionally yet, I believe. not healthy, but a survival tactic.

obviously she was affected but with how high her walls were, she was able to go about everything like it didnt happen. I don’t think that made her “fine” I think it made her more desensitized to trauma. She’s experienced massive amounts of trauma long before the shooting and tbh it only added to it and her mind couldn’t handle it I don’t think and it blocked out the emotional damage that came from it.

as a person that went through so much childhood trauma, I'm quite resilient whenever new trauma gets added to the pile. Probably why Meredith was more equipped to handle it too
