body neutrality definitely saved my self esteem as a disabled person. accepting that I'll never have my "dream body" unless I have a literal life threatening surgery was the key to deciding it's just not worth it.

Absolutely not! I've always loved myself and only struggle a bit with it recently because of mental health issues and some life-related bitterness. My looks never determined it.
