Side job that fell on my lap the year I got engaged. I’ve always wanted a wedding and God made it happen. Pray for anything and everything

I’m getting eloped in Gatlinburg :) I don’t even like that many people to spend 10k on them ☠️

Idk about $50k but my fiance and I have saved $500-$700 each every month for the last 2yrs and put some of our bonuses towards it. We don’t have family help but have decent careers, minimal debt, and already own a home. Saving that amount was reasonable for us to have our $30k wedding next month debt free.

I did a 2 year engagement and researched vendors willing to start payment plans earlyyyy so I don’t get hit all at once with a huge cost. I’m literally pay check to paycheck until my wedding next May lol

I’m from NYC and the available dates for places and vendors couldn’t get for the following year so had to book a date 2 years from the time we had started planning. Even the month I wanted was all booked up 2 years before but someone didn’t put a deposit and date became available and got it. So we had no choice but to do a 2 yr engagement which helped

Have a longer engagement, save cash (out of sight out of mind) it’s what working for me, use chase preferred card to make the bigger payments, pay it down, repeat (gain points for traveling)

I remember someone saying they took out a loan to pay for their entire wedding… I don’t think I’d want to be in debt for years just for one night of celebration…

We’re not, we’re renting out our favorite restaurant with open bar and food for $7k with 75 people. Planning our honeymoon now and have so many options because of how much we’re saving!

My wedding is costing $6-$7k, I personally cannot justify spending a down payment for a house on a wedding 😅

Long engagements with contributions from parents, high paying jobs, and saving for several years. Also, I’ve also told my daughter to do a destination wedding outside of the US.

Both my hubby and I make $250k combined. We got married in secret a month after getting engaged and planned our wedding 3 years out. We’ve been saving and paying vendors cash as we get closer. It will be next year. Will likely come out to be 60-70k.
