Linda Cotton!

krissymani :

I love how she's in the STUDIO, headphone to ear, BELTING about a restaurant. Mary J. Blige take notes!

jojo :

for anyone looking for this place — the owner unfortunately retired and closed the restaurant permanently in 2016 🥺

trev :

i’m obsessed with everything about this. the grainy 80s quality. the inset of the woman singing in the studio. a chinese restaurant advertising itself as having “the best margaritas in town”. i wish i was alive during this time

Terra☕️ :

I miss jingles with Black singers. They DID NOT play 💀💀💀💀

Beckham Hahn :

The jazz composition was a little much 😳.

goyarddad :

day drinking at ko palace sounds fun

Paul Cosca :

I love that they showed her singing. No putting her in the background!

DioBrandosEnormousSack :

Play this at my funeral please

Lee Nguyen :

White people eating at a Chinese restaurant that serves margaritas while having a black woman sing about the whole experience, we were so united back then 💕

Margaritas at Chinese restaurants are underrated.

alfredothemighty :

No one’s talking about that FULL BAR tho

Yuyu :

I missed when they didn’t give a fuck about marketing whatever they felt fit was what it was 🤣🤣🤣🤣 now everything is so cookie cutter and rehearsed.

JHA :

I prefer this camera quality. Movies don’t even look like movies anymore 😭 they’re too clear. I can’t explain it.

TheBeardyBoyo :

Now I know where to go for Sweet Pungeant Shrimp

Marcelle :

This is the America I was promised

Simone Daley :

I think this is the first Chinese restaurant commercial I’ve seen in my entire life 🤔
