The Spartans were part of the Iliad ,so Kratos probably lead the lines with Menelaus

I mean if there’s anyone Kratos would respect it would be the man who went against the will of a god and won

i know it’s a story about mythical gods so nit picking timelines is pointless but somebody should try and map out the history of the GoW world bc there’s like 1300 years of history and characters Kratos references being involved in or at least existing at the same time as and at the end of ragnarok he’s supposed to be 1055.Trojan war wouldve happened just before the first god of war trilogy as they only take place over 11 years and homers poems about the trojan war were already centuries old by the battle of 300,battle of 300 is 400 BCE and GoW 18 is around 400 AD so that’s already 800 years of Kratos life so that means in this world the trojan war happened around 200 BCE already centuries later than the stories were written. Somebody with unlimited time and patience could probably figure out a way to rearrange 1000 years to make everything fit around kratos

Ngl I would play a game of kratos flashbacks if it was like more of a souls lite game I feel like that would fit best before he gets his powers or weapons just him as a mortal fighting other equally strong mortals where sword play maters more

Penelope was a princess of Sparta, maybe kratos saw how much love love ody had for the princess and thought “ he can live” (or ody was still fucking lost when kratos had his crashout)

If I remember correctly, kratos stated that for a long time he wished he was at the battle of 300 and died there as well,

@Omega gorilla after seeing the Odyssey I have this theory about Kratos. As a Spartan, Kratos would have be called to arms by Agamemnon and Menelaus to go to Troy. However, Kratos never participated in the petty squabbles between Ajax, Achilles and all the major heroes chasing glory for the sake of glory. Kratos would have kept to himself and the only person that I think would have gotten Kratos to speak up is Odysseus. I think him and Kratos are similar in their temperament. They honor their duties and responsibilities as warriors and yearn to be home amongst the land and people they care for. They would have had a shared bond in the war and I think Kratos held deep respect for Odysseus.
