They can understand him. They said they heard him. You can also hear him calling out to Poseidon. Helen of Troy didn’t kill Agamemnon, her sister did. Also the bag of wind scene was cut out because he had to land the movie under 3 hours. It might come out if they do a directors cut. However the rumor is that they filmed that whole scene and the aftermath it just added an unnecessary 25 mins and they couldn’t find something better to cut.

The problem with the first one is that the reason the cyclops got drunk was cause there was lotus in the wine, they didn’t meet the lotus eaters hence they couldn’t do that

I was fine with the cyclops scene. I didnt want there to be more cyclops. I felt like that wouldve made the grounded realism more cartoony and wouldve pulled from the immersion the film had built up to that point. like, talking to polyphemus after watching him immediately murder a few of your men upon meeting wouldnt have sit well with me.
