My friend died this way. He had an infant son. Got into a fight with his girlfriend and chose to sleep in his car. Died overnight. She had to find his body in the morning.

This is heartbreaking, my daughter passed away for carbon monoxide poisoning 🥺 she just turned 19 a nightmare we can’t wake up from. She would have been 21 this year. I’m so sorry for you loss, your not alone and I’m praying for you ❤️

I’m a nurse and I almost lost my boyfriend to Carbon monoxyde poisoning because of a triage nurse neglect. He is a security guard in a high school and the teenagers started a fire in the school bathroom. He wanted to put out the fire, he breathed a lot of smoke doing so (but he save the entire school of the fire). I took him to a first hospital, the triage nurse neglected his work. He did NOT examine his lungs, did NOT take a blood test and did NOT even take his vital signs. After waiting about 8 hours in the waiting room, without seeing a doctor or nurse, without having had care, and I saw that my boyfriend's health was getting worse very quickly, we decided to leave the hospital to go to the second hospital. Arriving at the second hospital, in not even 5 minutes, the blood tests were already done and had already started oxygen therapy. The doctor told me that if we had waited 1 more hour, he would have died. The worst thing about all this is that at first he didn't even want to go to the hospital and it was when he snosed and the kleenex was black that I told him that he had no choice but to go. I'm glad I listened to my instinct and brought him to the second hospital.

my husband had a cracked manifold in his previous RAM- for months he would have dizzy / depersonalization spells & migraines while driving. Had so many dr appts, MRIs etc. We finally put a CO detector in the truck and it started beeping as soon as he started driving. The car dealership denied any responsibility. We got a new car but.. it was shocking and scary, I’m so thankful he’s OK.

Walked past a man passed out on some stairs everyone said to leave him cause he was probably just asleep I walked up to him and asked if he was ok all I heard was mumbles and a faint help when the ambulance got there he was suffering from a heat stroke and needed insulin. 🥺

I think we need built in CO2 sensor in cars that come with an auto kill switch that shuts the car off automatically if CO2 reaches certain levels, no more deaths via CO2 poisoning in cars. plug ins for existing cars, It can't be THAT hard to do
