With its World Cup win, Spain is the first country to be reigning men's champion of the world championship, European Championship and Olympics simultaneously. Rodri, the Spanish midfielder, took the World Cup trophy from FIFA President Gianni Infantino and US President Donald Trump and lifted it high into the air as confetti fell around him at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. A host of other trophies were handed out before Spain got its hands on their prize. Spanish defender Pau Cubarsí was named the best young player at the tournament after the 19-year-old helped guide his side to total dominance. Unai Simón was awarded the Golden Glove for being the best goalkeeper this summer. The keeper only conceded once the whole tournament. To complete the hat trick, midfielder Rodri won the Golden Ball for the best player of the tournament. And finally, France's Kylian Mbappé was named the winner of the Golden Boot after scoring 10 goals, becoming the World Cup all-time top scorer. As part of the post-game celebration, the defeated Argentina got their runners-up medals from dignitaries.
