I feel like a lot of people are uneducated so let me explain the difference. Darkshippers ship things like child x adult, siblings x sibling, animal x adult, etc. Proshippers just don't harasses people over ships, unless they're also a darkshipper they'll just block and scroll on ships they don't like, that doesn't mean they support the ship they're just not gonna waste time commenting. Also I don't blame you because the term is misused a lot and most proshippers are actually just darkshippers using the wrong term unfortunately.

the "my therapist recommended it" thing is stupid, no therapist would do that and if they did they need their license taken away. They would probably recommended fiction to cope yes, its very helpful, but not to romanticize stuff like this because it only makes it worse.
