She was in one of my Facebook mom groups. She was so in love with her children, she posted often asking for advice or feedback for different things - she obviously cared about her children and wanted the best for them. This whole situation is awful but she asked for help so many times and was failed.

I saw someone do a rundown of all of the medications she was given, all the times she went to get help and was discharged. The meds were insane. I don’t know how anyone could be in their right mind after all of that.

As a mother I’m not sure I’d want to be given a life to live after taking my children’s lives. I’d want to be locked away and pay for what I had done. I wouldn’t be fighting to myself to go back into the world. Even if I was mentally ill all the time I could never forgive myself

Her life is over whether convicted or not. She will never be okay again after losing her babies to severe mental illness. I feel horrible for her and the rest of the family, truly such a tragedy.

It's as horrific as any case ever. She made so many attempts to get professional help. The medical health and mental health systems failed her.

I feel like she has suffered enough and she will suffer for the rest of her life. They played with her brain chemistry like it was a science project while she literally begged for help. I wouldn’t be able to convict.

I believe her! She actively tried to get help! I’ve seen individuals in psychosis. They require hospitalization immediately.

If he knew she was going through all of this then why would he leave her alone with them? Andrea Yates was the 1st person who came to my mind and didn't understand why her husband did the same.

Her husband is standing by her… That speaks volumes. Yes, she did it, it’s absolutely horrible. However, she asked for help for days, weeks… Months. You clearly have to be insane to murder your children.

Ssri medication can cause auditory and visual hallucinations if you have something like bipolar. I know this because my son had it. So scary.

Two things can be true at once. We can feel empathetic for her. And for her children. None for Patrick though. He was not helpful and failed her as a husband.
