So while the term electrocution USED to mean that you died because the word is a combination of electric and execution (named as such for things like the electric chair) it's definition has since changed to meaning every electrical injury and or death. I know this because I too used to believe and argue that one had to die for it to be considered electrocution so I looked it up to confirm. it is a modern example of a words definition shifting based on how it's used.

electrocution does not always equate to death. electricians mistakenly believe that's the case. they're wrong. electrocution means becoming part of the circuit. not death by severe shock.

my older brother survived electrocution and falling 40(if i remember correct?) feet . he was dead on the pavement for a few minutes, was brought back by a defib. on the brightside he's not allergic to anything anymore lmfaoooo
