This comment section is so irritating. Why are we demonizing one trauma response/environmental response and making the other seem fine? Anxious attachment is so much more then being a little clingy, it can be obsession and the person can become controlling even. And avoidant attachment isn’t just being someone who leads you on purposely to bring you down and make you insecure. They both come from up bringing and negative past relationships/friendships. With anxious it’s fear of not being loved or being left behind and with avoidant it’s fear of being loved or letting someone in usually. Instead of debating which is worse look from both sides and try to have sympathy for one another.

i hate this comment section... why is there sm hate on the avoidants? it's not a rule that they'll cheat or be mean or purpose, whether ppl are like that isn't bcuz of being avoidant or not, it's its own thing, avoidant means they avoid love and closeness bcuz it feel dangeorous, they can't control how they feel... and why even they would they want to hurt ppl on purpose? they're also normal human beings, there are many avoidants who are kind, but just scared or hurt ppl but not on purpose and then they feel guilty about it for a long time

honestly ive been both and its so much worse to deal with an avoidant. As a current avoidant, i KNOW not to get into a relationship because even if you crave love but know you cant handle it, and still get into a relationship you are a terrible person. And i wanna make sure everyone knows this because i still remember the ache from being pushed away from an avoidant.
