@mrsemmawalz: recover from slobdom with me!!! 🧼🧺🧹 now disclaimer – I have one baby. She’s seven months old. I don’t know how to do this with four kids because I don’t have four kids. But I feel like these habits probably apply to everybody, and if you can find a way to implement even one of them it will legitimately change how your home feels to you. Also, I’ve learned that progress is addicting. Feeling like you’re succeeding makes you want to keep succeeding. I’m finding habits on top of these, new things to do. And genuinely my home has never felt better. What are some new habits I can try? And did you ever have a time in your life where you felt like this? #clean #postpartum #motherhood
I LOVE NOURISH MOVE LOVE!! Lindsay is one of my favorite people to watch during my workouts! She helped me lose almost 100lbs

Remember it takes on average 66 days to form a habit. Keep it up
Progress, even slow progress is still progress.

I’m a working mom, and you pretty much described my night routine! I won’t have a productive day if the house is a mess, so I need systems and consistent routine to stay at least sort of on top of things.

I do load of laundry every single day. I pop it in the washer first thing in the morning so it's ready to switch by the time the dishwasher is emptied and I've had my morning coffee/tea and Bible study. I generally fold and put away after lunch. my kids are a bit older, but the steps you're implementing now are setting the pace for the rest of your life. I loosely follow clean mama's weekly cleaning schedule to keep a functionally clean home

Recently I’ve been watching Martha Stewart episodes because 1. I enjoy them but 2. because I feel like she gives some practical money friendly tips on how to make your space feel like it’s organized and clean. How and when to clean what. It might not be for everyone but I’ve LOVED it.

When I get up for the day, dogs go outside, I feed the big dog and the cat. Start coffee. Give the baby his breakfast and start a load of laundry. If the coffee isn’t done yet I do a quick check for dirty dishes, laundry, trash throughout my house before I sit down with my own breakfast and coffee. And take my morning meds. (Husband works nights so there is usually something dirty when I get up)

Same!! I’ve really had to lock in and figure out how to manage everything. The quick tidy every evening and running the dishwasher every night have changed my life lol. I’m still trying to figure out how to fit quiet time in-my daughter is 2 and wants to do her “bible study” when I’m doing mine and it is adorable but so distracting. But we’re getting there!

Proud of you 💕 but also you just had a baby so you’re not a slob, you need to recover yourself too! It’s ok if a home doesn’t look perfect 100% of the time. Sending much love to you and yours

I made myself a schedule. Tuesdays I deep scrub the bathroom. Thursday’s I deep scrub the kitchen. Routine cleaning all the other days. Dusting is on Wednesday.

I dont have any kids or pets, but I work 10 hour days through the week and j have 3 day weekends, but those weekends often get filled up by family obligations. suffice to say, the only time I have to clean is after work. I've had to learn to take half an hour for dishes, half an hour for laundry, and an hour for myself before needing to go to bed.

I started just putting my clothes in my washer once I take them off or get them from my daughter and then I run it when it looks full. No more hamper

I love all of this!! I would caution to make sure you’re still awake when running your dishwasher!! I’ve heard horror stories about dishwasher fires at night that they don’t realize are happening until too late!

I need to implement ALL of these things. Something I saw yesterday - use your washing machine AS your hamper. Dirty clothes go right in so you know exactly when it’s full and time to run a load. I think it’s soooo smart!

I’m an extreme follower of logic. I would die to not be organized. We all have our things. I’m trying REAL hard to not judge others. Also, it gets way easier when the kids get older.
