@genxjono: Post the phone that came out the year you were born? GenX didn't have new phones coming out every year. But I gave it a shot. What did you get? #genz #genx #millennials #newphone #Tech

The phone my family RENTED!!!!! Came up. (And yes it was the western electric). Yes they rented it from the phone company…. There was even a store where you could turn them in and pick out new ones! I can still remember trying to convince my parents when I was 6 to get the Mickey Phone. I loved going to the phone store - to look at new phones. At some point it closed and you had to buy your own phone. But I had a push button princess trim line for my room.

Nunya Bizness :

This is what I got for 1978

samueladams9170 :

There you go. And yes, the phone company isn't making it easy to keep it connected.

Scotty :

When I was born, they had spin dial phones, for lack of a better word.

1966 here. Kitchen wall with a cord that only stretched as far as the floor if you leaned against the lower cupboards.

genxbutterfly4567 :

Tanya Drake :

Trim line was fancy - this was our primary phone - our wallpaper matched it better though
